Charles, what a great podcast. Thanks for mentioning Sittin and Knittin on Main! I have tests when I first enter yarn stores too. I want to be greeted but not harrassed and not ignored. I think us fibre freaks all have our own yarn store quirks!

Am sooo glad you're back to podcasting. Have been enjoying knitting and listening. Have got to mention how cute the bunny avatar is. He must be such an asset to your home. As an American (Monterey, California) I especially appreciate your discussion of Canadian LYS's and Canadian customs and events. susan93940@hotmail.com

Welcome back to Podcasting. Was starting to miss the male knitters podcasts. Another great podcast. Keep up with the education side. Being a fellow educator, I enjoy thinking of fiber crafts in different ways.

As for your Fiber Shop test, I agree completely. A unfriendly shop is not a fun place to visit. I have a new fiber shop I enjoy going to. Very friendly, plus the only one in town that supports spinners too. I admit I did visit because I wanted to spin.

BTW, you asked a question on my blog. Yes, the CB Sweater is mostly original. It is based on a simple vest pattern but the additions are my ideas. It is near completion.

This is Steven, one of your friends from Ravelry. I finally had a chance today to listen to your podcast. I've listened to every episode from the beginning today while seaming a sweater I finished recently. I really enjoyed it. You have a relaxing style. Especially liked the discussion of gauge swatches and how you do them. I like the idea of one swatch done on several needles.

As someone who works in education, I also go a lot of your discussion of learning. Keep up the good work!

Welcome back. Glad to hear you are enjoying your two jobs! Well done on trying to get back into the textiles once more.... not easy, but more fun. I know I feel more "normal" when I can get some kind of textile work accomplished alongside the day job!!!
Good luck.
