  1. Well that’s just great, now you sucked me in and I was thinking about IPODS. I knew tis wouldhappen lol. Wonderful show, I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

I don’t get many comments on my blog either, but only 5 people read it, and I don’t say much of interest there, mostly blabbering on and on about day to day stuff lol.

Are you going to sign up for the swap? it would be nice to have at least one other man to match Beau to, even though he doesn’t care, I think it would be neat lol. But then, perhpas there are more, and I just don’t know it.

  2. Love your podcast. I just found your site today, and I listen to your previous casts while knitting a sweater, Salina. Your music selection is also very relaxing. I enjoyed the review on The Knitting Habit, and I will be sure to stop by and visit the next time I’m in the area.

  3. I had a longer comment but the software ate it so I will just say I am a new listener who enjoys your podcast.

  4. I think the spindle and wheel magazine is not working so well. I got to it but then it stopped working. I think they are not paying for service at the level of requests they may be getting? If you have a contact email you might tell them.

  5. Jeri, We have plenty of bandwidth. We did do some maintenance and had some downtime, but it was not long. If you want to send an email, we would love to figure out what the problem is. beau at spindleandwheel dot com We have had one other person who had some trouble, but it was a problem with their machine. We are very serious about making the site available to all, so send us a line explaining the problem, and we will try to get it solved.

  7. Thanks for the podcast — it’s fantastic.

  8. Great new podcast! I just found this and I’ve really liked the first few episodes. I’m also a teacher of high school students with two sons and a daughter. Both boys finger-knit and my older son has been learning to knit as well. I also wanted to tell you that I laughed out loud as you described the garter-stitch slippers - my mom taught me to knit those when I first started and she still churns those things out like a fiend. I’ve never put pom-poms on them, though. Does it go on the toe or the heel? :)

  9. I’m adding you to my list of must listen podcasts. Keep on going, I love hearing about your experiences. Thanks for reminding me about the “ribbed toe slippers” I had so many of those growing up … then I started knitting my own.

  10. I love your podcast! I’m an American living in Berlin, Germany who is absolutely addicted to all things fiber. I’m also a mom of two, my son can knit, and I’m a Spanish and ESL teacher. I’ve just listened to all of your previous podcasts and It’s fun what we have in common. I’m in the process of teaching 40 3rd graders to knit and another 40 have been begging for me to come to them too. Just thought I would let you know-you’ve got another listener. :-)

  11. I’ve been listening to your descriptions of knitting techniques (among other things), and finding it very interesting, considering I do crochet and don’t currently want to start knitting as well, for fear of even *more* ongoing works in progress! Enjoying the podcast.

  12. Thanks Charles.. I am glad you sent me this link .. I am going to listen from now on.. I wish knitting would take off here as it has in other countries. I like listening while knitting to your podcast! I will spread the news about your podcasts. Keep knitting!

  13. Just FYI, Charles, the pronunciation of Halcyon is usually “HAL-see-on”. From Jean, a long-time customer of Sue’s Knitting Habit in N. Falls (now living ‘back west’ near our much loved little boys - grandsons - and their parents). Lovely to hear your podcast, and I’ll be back to listen again.
