Jared & The Hemlock Ring Afghan

My apologies for the garbled audio noise…don’t know what happened and I didn’t do anything differently. And sorry about the ‘whistle’ when inhaling. I have a stuffy nose and scratchy throat.

I’m back! It was so much fun to record and edit again. I hope you enjoy listening to in depth ideas about knitting, crocheting, and learning. This is the first of several episodes where I’ll explore the juncture of my two passions and invite you along for the ride.

I had to record this while my family was asleep and so I used a quieter voice than normal. I hope it doesn’t interfere ‘with your listening pleasure.’

My swapetines (sock exchange) partner Auxi from Spain sent me these awesome goodies (plus an already eaten chocolate bar). Everything is great! A little “jigra” (see jigraknits for an explanation) made of burlap with neat sea-life forms made of lacquered dough art attached made a nice theme appropriate gift. There is also some rooibos (sp?) tea with a chocolate orange scent..mmmm. The camera and ambient light changed the color of the socks which is actually a rich peacock blue marled together with turquoise, fuschia, an orange… one of my favourite colourways. Morning Glory seeds top everything off!
